Artist's Comments

After what turned out to be an outlandishly Spring like weekend last night brought down a fog that would have made Sherlock Holmes and Jack the ripper quite at home in Halstead.

I took these on the way back from dinner with friends at about 11ish.

The fog just seemed to pick out the street lights cutting into perfect beams through the branches trees on all sides of the church... It was like elaborate stage lighting (laughs).

It certainly looks it in these pics, but to be honest its a friendly old churchyard and church... This is directly opposite the place where I live and the bells chime every quarter hour and chimes the hour itself on the hour... which I actually like. Apparently it drives some people nuts.

These are some great phote's, the yellow lights in the gloom really give it an earry feel, especially that first one. It looks like a scene out of a Sherlock Holmes movie.
